We are delighted to announce that the consortium consisting of Arte Charpentier, EPA – Equator Paris Architecture, Ingérop, and Attitudes Urbaines has been selected to carry out an ambitious urban study on the Fosse à la Barbière sector, located within the vast Val Francilia project in Aulnay-sous-Bois, on behalf of the SPL Séquano Grand Paris.
A major project for a sustainable future
This project is part of the urban and environmental transformation of this strategic area of Greater Paris, with the aim of creating new mixed-use neighborhoods that combine housing, economic activities, and quality public spaces. The objective is clear: to define an operational framework by 2026, proposing three innovative scenarios that will place renaturation, the reorganization of traffic flows, and the establishment of the area as a city gateway at the heart of the reflection. These three scenarios will result from careful consultation and close collaboration between local stakeholders, urban planners, and landscape designers.
The challenges of renaturation and urban flows
One of the main focuses of the study will be the renaturation of the site, with a strong commitment to making the city more resilient to climate challenges while improving the quality of life for residents. At the same time, the redefinition of traffic flows will help reorganize mobility within the area, promoting soft transportation modes and accessibility for all.
A structuring project for the future of the metropolis
The Fosse à la Barbière sector represents a key gateway for Aulnay-sous-Bois and the Greater Paris metropolitan area. Therefore, this project is not only of local significance but also metropolitan. It aims to create new economic and social dynamism for this territory, in line with the sustainable development goals set by the city of Aulnay-sous-Bois and its partners.
We are proud to contribute to this major project in close collaboration with our partners EPA – Equator Paris Architecture, Ingérop, and Attitudes Urbaines, as well as SPL Séquano Grand Paris, the city of Aulnay-sous-Bois, and all stakeholders involved.
