Today, Arte Charpentier took part in the welcoming event for the “150 Chinese Urban Planners in France,” a program initiated by AFEX (French Architects Abroad) in partnership with the Ministries of Territories, Ecology, and Housing.
As a long-standing partner of this project, Arte Charpentier was the first architectural and urban planning firm to carry out projects in China, and we have participated in every edition of the program. The initiative aims to foster the exchange of expertise in the fields of urban planning and sustainable architecture between France and China. Alongside other partner agencies such as AIA Life Designers, AREP, and Chabanne, we had the opportunity to meet the Chinese urban planners who will join our respective agencies during the program.
This was an excellent opportunity for us to share our expertise and exchange ideas on innovative practices shaping the cities of tomorrow. We are confident that these international collaborations will strengthen creative and sustainable approaches to address current urban challenges.
Starting Monday, October 7th, our agency will welcome Ms. XU Duo and Mr. YU Yiqi for a two-month period as part of this initiative.
We would like to extend our special thanks to Madeleine Houbart, Jérôme Laville, and Adélia Asselin for their dedication and involvement in making this event a success.
Following on from this welcoming event, Afex and Arte Charpentier organised a visit to the urban planning and landscape project carried out in the city of Bagneux over the last 10 years.: the Victor Hugo Eco-district.
