On December 11, 2024, during the SIMI, (parisian real estate trade fair), Jérôme Le Gall, partner architect at Arte Charpentier, presented the Étoile – Boulevard Blanqui project, a flagship example of low-carbon renovation. Held within the Decarbonization Expertise Hub, this conference attracted a professional audience eager to learn about practical solutions to address climate challenges.

The project, which transformed the former headquarters of the newspaper Le Monde, stood out for its:

  • Energy consumption reduced to 88 kWhEF/m²/year, already meeting the 2040 targets of the Energy Performance of Tertiary Buildings (DEET) regulations.
  • OsmoZ certification across all three dimensions, promoting well-being, energy efficiency, and sustainability.
  • An optimized building management system (BMS) for precise monitoring and enhanced performance.

Jérôme Le Gall highlighted the technical challenges and architectural choices made in collaboration with partners such as Banque Populaire Rives de Paris, CBCP – PMVA – TERAO, and CG Consulting Immobilier.

The other speakers on the panel included:

  • Aymeric Novel, Deputy General Manager at CBCP – PMVA – TERAO.
  • Olivier Garrocq, Head of Real Estate, Logistics, and Currency at Banque Populaire Rives de Paris.
  • Chantal Guillon, Founder and CEO of CG Consulting Immobilier.

This conference demonstrated that renovation projects can combine technical innovation, energy efficiency, and carbon reduction while meeting user expectations.
