The N7 project, located in the Docks ecodistrict in Saint-Ouen, seeks to highlight the importance of landscaping at the heart of residential developments. With 555 homes in 7 buildings, the scheme caters for three generations – parents, young people and senior citizens – while promoting a social and intergenerational mix. One of the project’s highlights is its carefully designed landscaped central area.

The heart of the block has been designed as a harmonious ecosystem. Groves of trees, planted terraces and valleys combine to provide a natural setting conducive to local biodiversity. Nesting boxes have also been installed to encourage wildlife from the banks of the Seine to make their home here, thereby helping to enrich the environment. The homes all benefit from a view of this green space, creating a direct link with nature and bringing calm and well-being to residents.

This central space is also intended to be a place for exchanges and meetings, strengthening cohesion between the different generations of residents and promoting community life.

The project is part of a sustainable approach using BIM modelling and natural, local materials. The care taken in designing this heart of the block reflects the desire to offer a living environment that meets the challenges of a city that is both environmentally friendly and inclusive.
